El Arca Orphanage

Nestled in a developing Tijuana barrio on Xiuhaualtzin Avenue is the El Arca Orphanage (The Ark). It began from the prayers of those who cared about the boys on the street. These kids are in many ways like normal kids, each one excited about the next event in their life. However, their lives differ from other children because they have no mom or dad to raise them. Many of them have been brought to El Arca from the streets of Tijuana where they have been abandoned by one or both parents. Some of the boys have parents, but usually they are either unable or unwilling to care for their children because they use drugs, alcohol, or are in prison. In many cases, the father of the boys has deserted the family and the mother is too poor and under-educated to provide adequate support for her children.

Come serve these children at El Arca this summer. You can touch their lives with your love and care for a weekend that they would not forget for a lifetime. You can experience God's passion for all people in a cross-cultural setting that would change your own perspective on life and the world.
